\nTHE WEEKLY MEETINGS OF THE UBOMI LEADERS<\/h3>\n<\/div>

Every Sunday our Ubomi leaders meet at Khosi and Thomas place in Khayelitsha. Over a cup of tea, Ubomi topics and personal concerns are discussed and we also chat about all kinds of things.<\/p>\n

This Sunday it happened spontaneously that we drove to Camps Bay together – the beach of the “Rich and Beautiful” in Cape Town, about 35 kilometres away from Khayelitsha.<\/p>\n

It was only during the drive there that I realized that none of our leaders had ever set foot outside the Township. Unimaginable for me, who drives into the city every day for work. So I spontaneously decided to have a little sightseeing tour. After a visit to Signal Hill and a detour into downtown Cape Town, we headed down to Camps Bay via Kloof Neck.<\/p>\n

Already during the ride the mood was very exuberant. We sang and “danced” in my old Benz and could compete with any disco taxi! On the beach, after a first careful check of the water, there was no stopping us. With all clothes on, we raved, sang and danced in the waves. It was only with great difficulty that we got the six of them back into the car after half an hour.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
